    Cruise Control issue

    Hi all,

Need help troubleshooting a cruise control issue.

The car is a 1989 325i, the cruise control does not work at all.

I have replaced the cruise control computer, cruise control handle as well as the cruise control motor that mounts in the engine, the brake lights also work.
As well i have checked the fuses. Yet still the cruise doesnt not work.

    Any thoughts?

Is the clutch or in the case of an auto the park/neutral switch working? I.E. is pin 9 of the cruise control module grounded when it should be? Is the speed signal reaching the cruise control module on pin 6?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

^ get your bentley and start looking over all the components of the system.

it turned out that my clutch pedal switch was adjusted too tight, making the cruise control system think that i had my foot on the clutch, which makes the cruise turn off.

^^^ That has good info in it btw if you're looking for pins/wire colors. Mine stopped working again too, so I'm guessing it is a bad/corroded connection or ground somewhere.
