    no ignition power

I jumped into my car this morning, 89 325i, and I got zero response when i turned my key. I figured I had drained my battery some how but that is not the case. When i turn my key I get power to my obc and radio but click two is dead.

Last night when I was driving, my gauges, except my speedometer of course, stopped working. I figured my si batteries went, but now now with this I imagine things are related.

    What's going on?

Check the battery voltage. If fully charged it should be 12.7v. Less than 12.2 would be a battery at less than 50% charge and might not be enough to engage the starter solenoid.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I tried two batteries. Both hover around 12.7-.8. I won't really have time to mess with too much until Monday but I want to have some thoughts before I really start messing with stuff.

Any relay that would cause failure on Run2 and start on the ignition?

I wish I had time to go through diagrams today. Maybe I will find time.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by "click two is dead". Position 0 of the ignition switch is off, position 1 is accessory, position 2 is run, and position 3 is start. If you are saying that the OBC and radio work in position 1 but not in position 2, I'd suspect a failed ignition switch. But if you are saying that the OBC and radio work in positions 1 & 2, but the starter won't engage in position 3, it could be a bad starter, bad OBC code relay, or a problem with the primary power or ground connections.

position one is good, and then when I go to run nothing happens except my battery light comes on on my cluster. The obc and radio say on on run.

If I had a bad starter I could run everything in position 2, right?

I just need to get of R3V and look at diagrams, Thanks for your help jlevie, let me know if you have other thoughts.

pos2 is dead, nothing but the battery light on the gauge cluster turns on.
pos3 is dead, no power gets to my stater.

Got it. Fuse 10 and 18 were blown. This fixes the problem but I should probably trace the cause of failure.
