320i - Limited Edition???

Hi all, my mate has a uk import 320i. It a 1987 2dr manual. It also has power windows, sunroof, CL and the check thingy but no OBC. It also has black leather interior. Despite all these options it has a manual steering rack and drum brakes at the rear. Anyway there are some LE badges around the interior. I'm trying to workout if this is limited edition or luxury edition or something like that. Just seems strange it would have a heap of nice stuff then miss out on power steer and disc brakes? Can anybody offer some info as to what this car is?

Also, manual is for sale if anybody interested.

There was a package available for a short time called the Luxus package, I think it included leather interior, premium sound and some other options. The LE could stand for Luxus Edition, I'm really not sure.
