    Switchblade Key

    Hello,

Im interested in getting a switchblade key for my 325IX. Dose anyone know the best way to do this? Can you buy one? Do you think it would be possible to mod the one on the link?

    Thanks

Those United Auto ones are your best bet. Price isn't too bad compared to just a blank from BMW even if you don't have/use the alarm setup. That is if you really wanted that type of key. You can just take that blank to any locksmith to get cut. Trying to rig one up is too much work when you factor in parts and time cause the United Auto is less than 40 bucks. I tried making one from a VW key once, it didn't work.

Oh yea heres the link to just the key. http://unitedautosecurity.net/BMW-SW...3-P699670.aspx

            ^what he said

I wonder if it'll work with after market keyless entry systems other than their systems.
