Year and model of M/C upgrade?

Hi all, my brake master cylinder on my '89 325i has given up the ghost. Was wondering, from anyone who has done the upgrade, which model and year 7 series 25mm master cylinder is a direct swap, I currently have a girling unit fitted. Does it matter whether I currently have an ATE or Girling unit? Need to know ASAP as I want to order it today. TIA

The e32 7 series '88-'93. 735i and 750i part numbers are the same so one from either car will work fine. I searched and found the answer, so it is worth a try. Not trying to be rude, but searching can help you out a lot sometimes :)

There is a split in 3/88 giving two different part number MC's. The earlier one is made by ATE and the later by Girling. Does it matter which one I get? I had performed a search, it did not yeild an answer to this question.

I would get the Girling because I have seen that the master cylinder from any 750 between 88 and 93 could be used. I assume that means the later model Girling could be used. I dont know the answer to that question for sure though.
