Wind shield wiper problem

Soooo I bought a wiper motor from a junked car and it works, but when I turned on the wipers to see if they would work, they moved to the up position and that is where they rest after I turn off the wipers. haha. Help?

Sounds like the motor is dying. Did one about a two months ago and it was basically doing the same thing.

Your linkage is on backwards.

I knew it was somethin stupid like that. I will definitely fix that while I have the engine out for my m50 swap the next few weeks or so.
