    E46 Rear View Mirror How-To

Step 1- Sit down in drivers seat.

Step 2- Rotate Stock Mirror untill it is released.

Step 3- Sit and admire the progress.

Step 4- Rotate new mirror on untill it clicks

Great! Now my old sunbeaten mirror has been replaced. Next step is to wire the led light to my alarm (2 wires).

For cars other than a cabrio, you need to remove the stock mirror and glue on the ring that attaches to the windshield.

    Thanks.

Excellent. I love retro-fitting mods. I'll have to add this to my list.

If I may ask, where did you get the E46 mirror and how much was it?

E46 mirror lists for ~$190. Picked it up for $20 on the bay.

So you like the big Bozo nose with the uncentered LED?

I think the mirror is one of the cheeziest things on the E46. :P

Rob- It is a replacement for my original mirror that had been terribly sun beaten.

Ryan- It isnt the round "Bozo" nose. It is a paddle (identicle to the stock e30 mirror) for dimming. I wanted this to hook up to my alarm to replace the neon blue light that already exists.

Nice-I've got an E36 one in mine, i like it alot (not because of how it looks, its a mirror, but because it actually has glass unlike the old one :D )

Yes. Look on ETK under any car that has the mirror mounted to the windshield, i.e. a cabrio. They are the same part for all models.

Which E46 did this one come out of? Because all the local one, and our e46, come with the bozo nose.
