    Wheel hanger tool

Anyone have any experience with one of these? My VW had a plastic one that I never used. Which size is the proper size for our cars?

Its a bit pricy, but should be a time saver. BAVauto has one for half the price but I am unsure if it is metal or not.

Does the wheel hanger in the trunk toolkit not work well enough?

dont even have to bother with threading it in, just pop it in the hole

troof, except my studs have been a pain in the butt.

Use the strongest Loctite you can find.

*beware of using very strong loctite on anything you might want to one day remove.

Heat makes removal of anything secured with Loctite really easy.

I tried it once to see if it was any easier. I never tried it again. I just clock the hub so a bolt hole is at 12 o'clock, then sight the wheel as I hoist it onto the hub.

I guess with non-hubcentric wheels, it might make it easier to throw a wheel back onto a car.

If you use spacers a wheel hanger does make the job of putting the wheel on a lot easier as it frees up both your hands.

You don't have a wheel hanger tool?

Every tool is stripped from boneyard cars within milliseconds. Except for the wheel hanger. They charge $1 at the local boneyard for tools left in the cars, although I doubt that many are paid for.
