    Wiper Woes

So the other day my right side wiper was frozen to the windshield. I accidently hit the wipers and only the left side actuates. So now, after everything is unthawed only the left actuates and the right just kinda wiggles but doesn't move. So am I screwed? Or is there a replaceable pin or something that I can just swap out that is designed to let the wiper break away for just such a circumstance.

Does the pin move inside the wiper arm at all when you turn them on?

If so, did the pin or wiper arm strip?

You could try tightening the nut down that holds the wiper arm on...

I had this happen once. I tightened the wiper arm and fixed the problem.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
              Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

You probably stripped the splines out of the wiper arm. A new wiper arm should fix the problem.

Unless you stripped the splines on the wiper regulator. Then you need to replace that, which is much more work.

Do the arms even have splines?? Mine is mounted on a tapered shaft. tightening it works wonders.
