    fusebox wiring question...

Hi guys... i was wondering if any relay in the fuse box on the '86 325es has a pin that is wired to go straight to ground

I installed independent foglights on my car but the procedure is kinda messy and i was looking to tidy everything up in there... the only thing left to do is to find a ground in the fuse box for pin 85 on the foglight relay and i will have indy fogs with only one nonfactory wire...

thanx for the help guys... ill do a write up as soon as someone finds a ground for me...

the only problem with the non factor wire is that can it actualy handle the amperage your putting through them? cause if not your lights wont be as bright as you hoped they would be... unfortunatly that is why we have to run new wires. as far as the ground goes why dont you just hook up the old ground wire to the new fogs if your using the old wires?

or just ground it to the body somewhere in the engine bay

ummm....the amperage going through the wire is very small... only enough to activate the relay... there is no "old ground wire" for pin 85 on the fog relay... it is grounded via the lowbeam relay... obviously this wont work for this situation since i need a ground that is grounded when the lowbeams are on...

this is how i currently have it wired but it looks sloppy and not very factory like... there has to be a ground inside the fuse box that i can wire pin 85... some relay has to have pin 87 or 85 going straight to ground... i dont know what ones though
