I have a 1989 325i with a m30 swap.
I recently put some ground control single adjustable coilovers and camber/caster plates and after I installed them I noticed that there was a knocking sound coming from the passenger foot well area.
I am not sure if is the suspension or control arm or anything else.
It seems to happen under compression of the suspension at any speed.
I can feel it through the foot well floor so it is definitely something loose or knocking around in that area.
One last note, sometimes it goes away. It seems to have cycles of happening and not happening. ie I will hear the knock for a month and then for about 2 weeks it will be gone but during the last portion of the two weeks I can hear it slowly coming back again (faint at first then gets louder as days go by)
Any suggestions or opinions are appretiated. I am stumped on this one.
