    Expansion tank

Ok so I'm feeling real stupid right now.

    My expasnion tank has 2 outlets/inlets on it. ( 1984 318i m10 )

My Q is.... I know one hose is used to catch coolant from the radiator, but where does the other hose go? It looks like it was going nowhere... is this right?

Sorry if I'm having a brainfart.

out onto the ground to give the coolant somewhere to go when it expands

K I was thinking that but then I thought about coolant leaking onto the ground, it jsut didn't sit right. Guess it'll have to.

      Thanks.

There may be an inlet on the top corner of the radiator for the overflow. My '89 325is has it, don't know about the 318.

Yeah there is an over flow inlet as well as an outlet at the top of the expansion tank that snakes around to the underneath of my car and relases to the ground haha, I found the hole that is made for it.

you can always run the overflow line to a 12 oz bottle and be "fuh raze". :D
