If it somehow got over torqued and threads stripped.....it happened over a lot period of time to my first car (dealership said the oilpan would need to be replaced) Fuck that, self-tapping oversized drain plug solved it fine and never leaked until my sister was driving it and got totalled like 2 years later.
Stripped threads is what happened on my last oil pan. I had bought an oversized, self-threading plug, and had planned to put it in the next day, but my car had other ideas...

Nando, there doesn't appear to be oil coming from anywhere else. I'll just keep an eye on the oil level until the next change, and get a new crush ring next time.

Thanks for all the help, guys.

whoever did the self taping nut, you should pull your pan off to do that because of all the metal flakes going into your pan that will be pumped into your bearings... which will cause all hell to break loose in there, and if your far too lazy to do any of those losen the nut a little ways like just so you can see the first thread and then wipe it with laquer thinner or a degreaser of some sort, and then rub high temp silicone arround it and tighten it up and it dont run the car for about an hour or 2 and then it should be fine. then next time you drain your oil get a new nut and washer.

Use the correct torque on the drain bolt and I bet you won't ever strip the threads again.
