bent rim =(

The roads in Columbus Georgia SUCK!!!!!! :evil: i think they bent at least one of my rims, its very noticable at hwy speeds. Are there shops that can fix a bent rim? If so how much does it usually cost?

There are multiple shops that can repair rims, I've had good luck with one in Indiane, you'd have to ship the rim to them but there prices were cheaper then most places. If you want their info let me know.

whats an estimated figure im looking at as far as cost goes

I had one rim(my type Cs) that was missing about a 2 in section and had it rebuilt and re shaped and trued along with all 3 other rims straightened(barely out of round) for 90 bucks. I then just went to the store and got some Wurth rim paint and touched 'em up. I got all 4 straightened for about 100 bucks. Check your yellow pages, I go to a place that is downtown, just one guy working in an old shack, does awesome work and is hella cheap.

when it gets straightend out does it do any cosmetic damage to teh rim? What kind of machine/prosses is used to reround it?

Usually they wont mess up the finish. My guy just has a turntable he puts the rim on, with a little arm to check for roundness. As far as straightening, a hammer, and a little heat usually do the trick. If there is any cosm. damage then jsut get some paint and touch 'em up. What rims got bent? If they are OEM or german manufactured then you should be able to get some Wurth Rim paint no problem and it will match perfect.

or go to your local powder coating place and get them all powdercoated for about another 100 bucks or so, not really sure what it actualy costs people cause i know the owner so id pay like 10 bucks or so but its worth a check
