they look like 225/50 to me as well
of course the tire will look different depending on the brand/model you buy due to the variance in contact patch size, sidewall design and tread design. Your chances of duplicating that look are unlikely at best, as that is quite an old picture. Your best bet would be to make a request to find people that are running 225/50/15 tires (or whatever size) then photoshop your wheels in

It will be hard to find somebody with that tire size on an 8" wheel. I think its 215-50-15. Would you happen to know anybody that has either of these wheel sizes on an 8" wheel?

well thanks for your input guys... you can rest easy. I wont be getting any 45's for sure. I want to get that look on the breyton car so my choices are 215-50-15 and 225-50-15.

While stretched, it isn't much undersized. Proper diameter for an MKII would be 195/50/15 anyways. Stretched is a thing of taste IMO, and I don't really care one way or another. Everyone here is just following each other, it's like high school on this board.

As for 225's, just about everyone with the Ronal LS wheel (15x7.5") is running 225/50/15. Looks awesome to me, functions even better,

Yeah... well stock wheels on GLi's and GTi's came 195-55-15 tires I believe. But whatever.

Im still not sure what size to run. But I want the look of the BMW above... so its still a 215 vs 225. Im leaning more towards 215
