    squeaking noise

so lately i have been hearing a squeaking noise coming from my engine. here are the symptoms:

    1) its a rythmic reet-reet-reet-reet-reet, not real fast either
    2) its coming from the front of the engine by the belts and radiator
    3) i hear it about 90% of the time, sometimes not at all
4)when i start the car i dont hear but as the car warms up for a minute or two it starts to squeak, gradually getting louder
5)its volume is loud enough to hear if you are near the car
6)as far as i can tell, when i accelerate the car the squeaks dont get any faster or slower, they just stay the same.

so i have no idea what it could be, im guessing its from the belts but it just seems to slow for that. is there just something i need to hit with some extra oil or something? any and all input would greatly be appreciated.

    thanks

Why don't you just replace and tighten your belts and find out if that's the problem?

thanks. ill probably do that. is there any way to figure out which one it might be before i start replacing them so i dont have to replace perfectly good parts? i can take the air conditioner and power steering belts off and still run the car to determine if its those right? possibly the alternator too?

Just spray each one individually with wd-40, or carb cleaner, when it goes quiet you found the noisy belt.
