    Broken key in trunk latch

My son decided he wanted something out of my trunk. Without asking me, he tried to open it and broke the key off in it. Unfortunately, it is locked!!!!!!

Does anyone have any ideas on how I might get this thing out without calling the locksmith?

Well to open the trunk all you need is a screwdriver. Then once in the trunk you'll have to replace the lock.

any of it sticking out try grabbng it with needle nose pliers? or if you have a welder tack weld it to somthing and pull it out, or a dab of glue. other then that unlock the doors they have auto locks so it should unlock everything unless urs doesn't have auto locks and then you can start from there.

None sticking out - it is broken inside the tumbler thing. I don't have a tack welder - good idea though.

As for the central locking, my trunk has never worked on that. I think I am going to the locksmith. I called one today and he said he probably would not charge me to take it out if I was buying new keys from him. (Which I will need to do as this puts me at only one key!).

          Thanks

            magnet?

magnet attached to scope. snap-on sells something similar.
            just a thought.

            hope it worked out, man.
