    Instrument Panel Problem...

Hey guys, hope you can help me with this. I'm new around here and new to BMW's.

    I just purchased a 1989 325i (2 door, if that makes a difference).

I've been doing some work on it, fixing up a few things and I had to pull the dash out at one point to get some cracks fixed etc... anyway, before I pulled the dash out the Tachometer was working correctly... after I put the dash back in the tacho stopped working. I tried two seperate instrument panels to see if something was wrong with one of them. No luck.

I had a look at the wires attached to the back of the panel and noticed that a yellow plug (don't know what else to call it) was not connected where I believe it probably should have been.

So I went for a hunt around tracing wires back to and forth and still couldn't seem to find the illusive yellow plug and wires... Can anyone tell me where i can find it? (Near where the speedo wires come from on the left hand side of the car? etc)

Pic to help with my rather clumsy explanation...

    Thanks for any help,
    Seqo.

you can't find it eh? well if im rememberoing correctly the yellow plug plugs in on the right side of the dash, and it also comes from the right side of the car right being passenger side, so hunt arround there maybe when you put the dash in you caught the plug between somthing and thats why u can't find it.
