    E30 newbie seeking mc help

    Just got the car a week ago and it was in need of a new MC. I followed this write up ,http://www.digest.net/bmw/archive/v7/msg08692.html. After installing the new MC and and filling the resvoir with fluid I had my brother pump the pedal then I would slowly turn the bleeder with a clear hose attach. The problem im having is barely any fluid is coming out at all. Pedal doesn't sit completey on the floor now but is very very weak. Any help would be greatly appreciated as im frustated and wanna drive this thing!!!

    I don't feel like reading the steps that you did, but this is what you do.

    1: Take the old master off.
    2: Bench bleed the new one.
    3: Reinstall with a new rubber o ring on the back to seal it to the booster.
    4: Bleed at the wheels.
    Did you bench bleed it? Which master did you replace?

      Clutch master, bench bleeding is pumping with the bleeder open?

        The clutch system is self bleeding. Pumping the pedal with your hand 50 or more times will clear the air from the system.
        The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          I always thought it was a huge PITA to bleed the clutch system. Never heard it was self bleeding before...

            Thats what I was doing was pumping it 50-100 times then loosing the bleeder to let fluid out, waiting for it to be without bubbles. But fluid would barely come out even with it wide open . I would tighten the bleeder and repeat at least 5 times. Im stumped when this should be simple :/

              you can remove the slave and compress its piston to force air to bubble up to the surface in the reservoir. ive had air stuck at the master and had to do this before. be careful not to press the clutch pedal while the slave is out.
