changed timing belt........now car spews coolant, overheats

    Hey guys,
Searched and am going to bleed the system again (hopefully it fixes)
So I changed timing belt, water pump and t-stat. Along with new belts for pulleys.
The car runs great and speedy. Yet there is coolant spewing onto the block.
The leak is right were the Thermostat connects to the second hose. The clamp is good as well as, and the hose looks good to.
The coolant shoots out from this point and onto the engine block, thus shooting up lots of steam. I took the car for a spin, and it was in the red on the temp gauge.
I read that it is usually another bleed of the system that is needed.
I have suspicions that it is the new thermostat not functiong correctly. Since it is at this point.
I followed the timing belt write-ups from three sites.
When I tried to bleed the engine block of coolant, the 19mm bolt broke in half, so the fluid spilled out when I pulled the radiator hoses.
    Thanks for reading guys :)

Post is kinda confusing. So its leaking from the broken bolt? Or its leaking from the thermostat housing? Check your hoses/ seals. Did you install thermostat correctly, with the little dimple facing upwards? New thermostat housing gasket? Did you open the heater core valve when you bled the system?

      x2= confused
the thermostat could also be backwards

and the 19mm bolt is just a bolt, big chunk of steel, how the f*#< did you break that ?

and Red is bad, real bad, warpage bad.

      pix would help

hose could be cracked, or have debris preventing a good seal.
remove / wipe clean and reseal. (dont overtighten)

be careful on cleaning the thermostat housing, its alloy and can be nicked or damaged easier than steel types.
when tightening up; remember to evenly secure it, do not wrench on one bolt all the way and they the next, do them evenly hand tight and evenly to 15ftlbs (or whatever it is, its not much)

the bolt that broke, are the threads still in the block, or did you buy a new bolt ?
thats the easy part of your issue, the bolt just needs to be sealed.

i may have a spare thermostat housing if you need one. (m20 )
