    Power steering fluid?

    Bently says dexron 1 or 2 .... would dexron 6 work or no?

        you can use any dexron thats newer than 2. You can even use Mercon if you like. Its just ATF fluid

        If your going to do it might as well go with the dexron 6 since its a syn fluid

                      Any ATF seems to work fine. I used whatever was cheap at autozone in my e36 and it's fine. The old stuff was black, burnt, and very nasty!!! Make sure to do a full flush and turn the steering lock-to-lock a few times. I actually did this with the car running and the p/s fluid return line in a bucket.

                            Unfortunately, the new fluid has not helped the power steering :/ its still rough... should I try to replace the pump?

                              i just did a powersteering flush and replaced the lines aswell, used normal ATF, it works great, it cost like $6 a liter, 1 liter is plenty
