When I turn my car on the recirculate light switch is lit up. As soon as I turn the blower on the light goes out or if I push the button the light goes out. Now the A/C switch never lights up but when I push it in I hear what sounds like the blower on the first setting (this is when the blower is not on). The compressor also does not turn on when I press the button. Lots of stupid issues. Could there be wires crossed? Also nothing lights up on my air controls.

Try swapping the switch for a known good one, sounds like there may be an internal problem with it.
