    o2 sensor wiring

So while i was doing the swap back to stock b25 on the convertible i had to make a choice to either splice on an o2 sensor connector to one harness or splice on alternator connections to the other. As splicing 8ga wire isnt fun i went with o2 sensor (also not fun).

(wiring colors are given from memory if you know better say so)
both harnesses were supposedly from the same year. One had a large grey set shielded wires (one black cant recall the other), a black wire and a brown? wire. the other a smaller black set of shielded wires (one black cant recall the other), a black wire and a green wire. does this sound right i cant quite remember it was a while ago. anyhow what i did was strip the insulation off the shielded wire bundle up the shielding on each side and solder that together. then solder the 3 wires of same color (on each side) then the two remaining wires together (green to brown?).

problem free for the first week or so, now im throwing a 1221. anyone have any advice on wiring an o2 sensor plug to a harness without one? brand new o2 sensor btw.

i am pretty sure the o2 harness is one of the most sensitive to splicing.

    maybe im wrong.

are you sure the code isnt being thrown by something else..?
