No motor, no drive shaft, no diff, no nothing

What do you guys think my e30 is weighing in right now with no motor, no drive shaft, no tranny,no diff, no spare.

but the car does have a full interior.

I wanna tow it with my wrangler, which has a towing capacity of 2000 lbs. and, well, its gunna be close!

    its a 91 318is, if it matters.

Id say its probably right at 2000lbs give or take 100.

I'd say it will be well under 2000lb.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

towing it on a trailer or dolly? Those weigh something too.

Also if you're planning on towing it with the rear wheels down on a dolly you need rear halfshafts installed or else your bearings will self destruct in a matter of minutes, they're 2 pieces and get held together by the half shaft tightened down. IF you have no diff you obviously have nowhere to bolt halfshafts to....you could get 2 blown axles and cut them off really short and just use them to hold the rear wheel bearings together though.

After saying that I'm trying to picture why this would be when they do have a hub in there, all I know is I pulled axles then towed a car with rear wheels down and the bearings were making terrible terrible noises just a few miles down the road.

I would definately tow it that far with a trailer. Dolly towing that far would be a paaaaaiin. Like Mossman said, if you have no diff. that's a whole other set of problems and potential issues.

thanks for the responses, is it alright if i keep my differential in there? i would do a 4 wheel trailer but it weights more.

                  4 Wheel trailer > 2 wheel dolly.
