i went through my cluster yesterday per an increasing speedo needle jumping issue that's started shortly after buying 89 325i three months or so ago. in addition to changing bulbs, i checked the board and reflowed suspicious solder and installed everything back in the car. well my suspicions before i took the cluster out may be confirmed, as this has changed nothing and hard bumps and acceleration seem to be the main cause.

this leads me to the wiring going to the speedo pulse sensor (#8 ) on the diff; i got subframe bushings replaced last week and unfortunately forgot to have this checked as it hadn't been an issue before that service, but now i have a feeling this wiring needs to be addressed. do i have to drop the subframe to get to it? i rather not have to go through the previous labor this time around if avoidable. i also think it's better to check the wiring before buying a sensor as i want to rule one thing out at a time. any input or pictures are appreciated! TIA
