    Towed :(

Shitty deal as I had to park on a street that had a temporary no stopping sign (no indications that a tow was in order if ignored) so I could take my girlfriend to the emergency room. Of course I get back and it's gone

Sooo...The car was in gear with the ebrake on and it was towed with the rear wheels up (no dollies, no nothing). Should I be worried about damage to the transmission as it was in 1st gear being towed in "reverse"??

The car is driveable, but I only drove 5 minutes to park it at home. It feels a bit stiff, so-to-speak. Before there was a bit of slop and such (everything in perfect working order), but now it almost feels like everything in the driveline and transmission are stiff like the e-brake is still on almost.

I definitely filled out a damage report before I left so I could cover all my bases. Just indicated that transmission and driveline needed to be assessed.

Sorry for the babbling. My girl is still in the hospital, and I've been running around all day dealing with bullshit. $100 for the tow, and now I get to pay a ticket as well. Ugh. It was some fucking temporary sign that came up 2 days ago on a street that anyone can park on, and all of a sudden it's a by-law infraction? Weird shit.

Don't mean to whine or bitch by the way, just every time I do something nice it backfires somehow :(

I guess everything is fine, I dunno. I was just told by the guy at the desk (not the tow truck driver) that the rear wheels were up, but there's no documentation saying exactly how it was towed.

Maybe the funny stuff I'm feeling is just in my head. Either way, both my babies have had a rough day today.

I say take a big breath and try and clear the head. Emergency stuff always makes some things feel alien and/or fuckered up. Sorry to hear about the Emergency room :( Always harsh! The tow is like the second kick to the balls though.

If the rear wheels were up then it's fine. Unless you have an iX.

            Maybe the e-brake is sticking?

            Sorry to hear that though

$100 for a tow? Thank your lucky stars, here it's usually around 3-400USD.

Gotta be weary of those tow guys, I was at my buddies apartment in tampa one night and this guy came in to tow someone motherfucker absolutely destroyed this car, just dragged it this way and that all types of crazy shit, I woulda fought the pos if it was my car.

Very thankful. The girl and the car are home, head is clear, and hey...

Despite getting a few fractures from a wreckless, drunk rollerblader (Next big hollywood movie?), the gal still cooked for me.

All is well my friends :)

I watched a tow truck driver tow a running car away - it was an FWD auto and he was dragging it down the street, front wheels dragging. He got about a block away, where he thought no one was looking and got out, found a rock, smashed the windows out with a rock, and then turned the car off. He then got back in and kept dragging the car.

                        They're all scum.
