m20 will idle but stalls when revved

I recently converted my 90 325i from an auto to a 5 spd and now it seems like the car is taking a very long time to relearn the system.

At first it would idle up and down like it was learning which made sense, and then it would idle smoothly on its own but when revved it would drop back down and stall. It ran fine otherwise but I would have to keep the revs up at stops or drop it down smoothly to let it idle.

Any ideas? Experiences with anything like that?
    just doin track stuff :-P

Sounds like it could be an intake leak to me, at least that is the place to start. A smoke test of the intake will quickly tell if there are intake leaks and where they are.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I just changed out my plug wires and rotor button/cap, that did most of the tirck for me. I am going to have a look @ my ICE next. But if it was fine before the swap and now it's acting up that is strange. Try depressing the clutch and see if the stumbleing continues.

          no

ive talked to a couple people and it seems to just be the relearning procedure due to battery disconection.

anyone know the proper relearning procedure?

The time for the DME to re-learn the engine, if it is working properly, is measured in minutes, not days. You have an underlying problem and my best guess would be an intake leak.
