Wtf? New dashboard and now car idles at 1500

Just replaced the dash on my 88 325is yesterday and I went to my friend's house afterwards and when I come to a stop at a light the idle stays at around 1500. After about a minute, it slowly drops to like 1200, and then 900-ish. I didn't do anything to the engine and everything works just like it did before the swap, obviously except the idle.

I did disconnect the battery, but everything is stock, so I don't see why the friggin thing is suddenly acting up.

I've already driven around 60 miles and it still does it so...ideas?

That sounds like a sticky ICV, perhaps accompanied by intake leaks. I don't see the dash swap as having anything to do with it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yeah I figured it was just a coincidence, but it was pretty bad timing. As soon as I get the new dash in, the idle starts acting up. ;)

FML, it's doing it again. I might just buy a new one, this is bullshit. It was idling at 1700, dropping to 1500, and then going back to 1700, over and over.
