17's, maybe 16's. Depends on wheel choice and design.

    15's no way in hell.

My friend just put M3 brakes on his E36 325is and had to dump his 16" Sport wheels for 17" M Contours.

related question, can I get 17s around e46 330i brakes?

I was looking at the 18s on the 330i at a dealer today and it looks like less than 1/2" clearance to the inside of the wheel.. I don't want 18s :(

330i's come with 17s I'm pretty sure, except for the ZHP.

E36 M3 brakes fit under 16s. No 15s though unless you step down to E36 325 or E30 M3 brakes.

Errrr...I wouldn't be so definite with that answer. More 16's don't fit over than do.

BTW, Bryson, same deal with 330's. They have the same size front rotors, and some 16's will fit. All 17's though.

Interesing. I've seen it doen with the factory parallel spoke 16s from late E36s.

                  e46 330 rotors are 330mm and e36 M3 are 325mm, it really looked like there wasn't much room even with the 18s.. I don't think 16s would fit (remember 330i brake diameter=e46 M3 brake diameter  )

Yeah, E36M3/E46330/E46M3 all have very very similar rotor sizes. Only a few 16's will fit over their brakes, such as the AT Italia Type 5's (M Contour replica).

Generally, you need 17's. Just think that to keep it simple.
