i bought a intake boot becuase mine cracked. I drive a 1989 325i 4 door. It was auto and is now manual the boot i got is 3 holes. and the boot i need is 4 like this 1. Anything i can do?
There is a part number split in '88. If you have the old one, the correct part number is cast into it. You must have the right one as the wrong one makes it near impossible to install the ICV valve.
there are 2 intake boots for M20 "i" cars, the only difference is the type of ICV. One type has the ports in an "L" shape, the other has them straight thru- so the valve looks like a "T". The pic that the Gangsta posted shows the "L" shape ICV. The boot for the "T" shape ICV has a sort of accordion like port for one of the ICV ports to plug into.
You guys are killing me with this talk of converting to the eta type boot....why not just get the right thing and be done with it??
