    Trunk lock wont open...

    Hi

    I was wondering if anybody has a trick on how to open the trunk on a 87 325E.

    The key work on the lock but doesnt turn in any direction....

    You can find the motor wires for the lock and use them...pull the central locking relay if you don't want to cut the wires.

      So the 325E has automatic locks? I tough they where all manual....

      So all I have to do is pull the central locking relay? where is it located?

        this happened to my 84 318i

        i had to get a new lock. there not cheap new. it was 100$ or so

          hokay, here is one way that MIGHT work

          Remove central locking relay, beneath the left front speaker.

          Remove relay from mount, look for the blue and white wires.

          Now is the tricky part: you need a 12 volt source to run the lock motors.

          Apply ground to the white wire, then touch the positive BRIEFLY to the blue.

          The doors/trunk/gas lid should all lock or unlock...if they all locked, reverse the 2 wires and try it again.
