88 325ic not staying on

basically the car wont stay running for long, i noticed it the other day but it turned back over with no problems.. today was different though, it'll start when it wants to and when it does i can pretty much drive it around the corner and the engine will cut off again, takes a while for it to start back up again.. kind of irritating considering i just got it out of the shop 2 days ago..

any suggestions on what this might be?

The first thing to check would be to see what the rail fuel pressure is. The next diagnostic would be a smoke test on the intake.
