So I went through a lot of the, "my glove box hates me and will not open" threads. They had some links but they do not work now. So I went out when the knowledge I had acquired and went to work on getting mine opened.
Spec: 1986 325es, I bought the car with the glove box locked....
Now on to the pics.(which were lacking everywhere else)

These are the screws in the back of the glove box that you want to undo...

Not these like I did at first....

a closer view of said screws, oh don't unscrew them all the way off if you do not need to. The bracket will let them just slide toward the back of the car.

Here is the lock, and there is the culprit as to why this thing wont open. It is plastic and breaks. Which keeps it from pulling the tabs on the black thing to the right of my hand. (sorry no arrow :D )
So what I did was this:
Undid the correct bolts, undid some unneeded screws that you can see just below the lip of the dash and above the glove box. As I was beating it and wiggling it as such, picture yourself holding the glove box with both hands, one hand on the right the other on the left, then go the opposite direction. Left hand goes up, right hand goes does, and vice-verse.
Then my glove box just fell, I really dont know how/or what I did but it worked
finished product should look like this:

oh there is a strap that's connected to the glove box, just push the pin through and then that comes loose.

You can kind of see it in the back left of the pic.
I hope this helps those in need a little bit better :-D
