    chris- overkill perhaps, but why spend ~$50-60 (the quote price for OEM upgrade) that could possibly fail again when you could spend 30 more for a very long lasting solution.


    My Cup kit comes with new RSMs evidently.

      just get something with a lifetime warranty and you'll be fine. oem's are only guaranteed for 2yrs. i also think reinforcement plates are a good idea, but you would probably get the same protection by putting wide diameter metal washers between the tower and the nut
