    intermittient tach failure

    my tach quits working from time to time, for exapmle when i first start it up the tach frequently will not read anything for a minute or to. if i tap the cluster it'll usually start working again. ideas?

    same problem here, but i think its due because the previous owner intalled this, and sometimes the gas gauge doesnt work until i hit the cluster....maybe a loose wire??
    i think you should try taking the cluster out and checking the wiring...

          mine was working fine until I upgraded my dash and did remove the instr pods. replaced and same thing. up on start up nothing and after tapping dash they work. I suspect somewhere the wiring isn't secure. Take out the pod and reseat the gauge. make sure all contacts are in place and then when you plug back in make sure it secure. I am going to try that today and see what comes of it.
