    Master Cylinder problem plz help!

My question is? how can you tell the master cylinder is bad...?
Cuz i toke out the 2 brake lines out from the cylinder then i try to step on the brake pedal for like 10-15 times...there's no any brake fluid/oil come out from the cylinder...
Is that the brake cylinder is bad! Now my e30 cant brake because of this...very confusing...can anyone help me out and tell me what i miss!

    Thanks

If you can't get fluid out of the ports in the master cylinder, I'd say the master cylinder is bad.

Symptoms of a bad master cylinder are evidence of a leak (brake fluid in the brake booster), a sinking pedal when you hold pressure on the brakes, or not being able to build pressure in the brake system. The latter two can also be due to leaks in the rest of the brake system, but that is pretty obvious under inspection.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I would probably just go ahead and replace it.
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
        Mark: "You never will."
