I did some searching and didn't find any real helpful information... Maybe I don't search properly.. Does anyone have, or know of a write up for changing out the hood release? My plastic handle decided it no longer wanted to be connected to the car, and snapped in half. I have the new cable here, just no idea how to put it in... I haven't referenced my Bentley yet either.

I'm pretty sure its attached to the firewall the same way throttle cables are. It may just be a pressure fit though, I don't remember.
For the front, stick a 10mm socket in the grill and loosten the 2 bolts that hold the latch on. Pull it out and take off the plastic cover, then the rest should be self explanitory.
If you can't see where the bolts sat before when tightening them back on, then just thread them in loosly then shut the hood. You can then put the hood where you want it and fully tighten them.Byron

it's pretty damn easy, do as described above with the latch, follow the cable to the firewall, and it's about as simple as it gets from there. i replaced, or i should say, added mine, the p.o. use a bike shift cable with a vice grip or something like that.Originally posted by DozyproductionsYou know why you're drinking that Pabst? No its probably not because it was the first beer you grabbed. It's because you're a winner.

Ok thanks guys, good to know... Tomorrow I'm hoping to slap that on, or Friday. I just have a hectic couple days and didn't wanna tackle it if it was really involved.

Like the others have said its really easy. To make the job easier remove
the drivers side grill to access the bolts of the latch its easier that way.
The only annoying part is to place the grommet in the firewall correctly
it is tight and hard to access like high up behind the dash where relays
and wiring hang out and right between the fuse box and the hood rear
guide/bracket.
It ain't hard just take your time
