Ebay turbo kits

Im looking to do a budget turbo setup and wanted some opinions on buying an ebay turbo kit like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-...Q5fAccessories
and replacing the turbo with a holset and running miller WAR software. Any reason i shouldn't do it except for the fact that the manifold is probably shit?

looks pretty shady, but i have heard of ppl gettin that kit and it being decent...still somethings are scary about a BLANK turbo

Yeah its mostly the turbo that scares me, im sure the manifold would flow like shit but if it works it works on a 17 year olds budget haha

will they sell it sans turbo and mani for a cheaper price? if so you could put that towards the mani and turbo, and then youre only really looking at 3-4000 for a setup, right?

Yeah but if i buy a used holset and a cheap intercooler and do custom piping and get a manifold from good&tight i should be able to throw together a full kit for under 3 g's.

Sounds like you have a plan. Is your car an m50 already? How much did that cost you, theres lots of numbers that I have seen.

Im hopin it works out, me and my grandpas mechanic did it and it ended up costing close to $1000 in work just because it was left at his shop the entire time and we did full suspension and some other stuff and ran into lots of hangups. All in all the swap cost me 2 grand
