    Door Locks. Messed-up.

When I bought my car, the PO warned me of a problem with the front locks. I was advised to only use the trunk lock when locking/unlocking my car. Now the problems facing me:
    • The driver's key hole gets stuck when you turn it.
    • Passenger's key hole unlocks doors, but not the trunk lid or fuel door.

Now, what's going on? I would like to address the issue without changing keys, which would be a hassle dealing with my ignition, etc...
    I would appreciate some help.

    Thanks!

I think just about all e30 locks are stiff and hard to turn. I have heard of people buying lock rebuild kits to make them easy to turn again. I do not have any input on the passenger door issue though. About 3 months ago I sprayed PBblaster dry lube in the lock figuring I had nothing to lose and now I am able to unlock the doors from the keyhole again and not just the trunk. It might be worth a try on your driver side door. I know that graphite is the more appropriate lube for locks but I have never had very good results with it.

Does unlocking from the trunk unlock the fuel door?

The etm has a procedure for truobleshooting the locking system I would start there.

          lol yeah they do
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
          Mark: "You never will."

thanks for the responses guys. Yes, the trunk opens the fuel door, however the driver and passenger locks do *not* unlock the fuel door.
