Windshield Wiper Blade Adjustment?

New e30 owner, but long time BMW owner. And The wiper blades seem to be fairly far up the windshield, I wanted to see if anyone could direct me on how to adjust the wiper blades down, out of the line of sight when they are at their resting position.

There are two possibilities here. The arms could be mounted in the wrong position, or they could be parking incorrectly. The former is fixed by removing the arms and positioning them correctly (they are held onto the splined shaft with a nut). The later requires removing the motor and cleaning the position sensor or replacing the motor.
