    Erratic Idle

So my dad had been driving my car yesterday and put it in 1st when he parked it. When I started the car this morning I didn't notice the car was in gear, so I didn't put the clutch in because I usually park/start the car in neutral. The car lurched forward. I put the clutch in and restarted the car and the check engine light was on. The idle started jumping around (from 600 to 1500) and sounded like it was going to bog out. I tried to give the car gas and the idle stayed steady until about 2000 when it dropped and started jumping around again.

    Please help me diagnose this.
    Thanks

Sticky ICV, probably in conjunction with intake leaks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
