What Shift Selector Rod Version? help!

Does anyone know the part number for A here? mine broke as you can see in the picture below, left me stuck in 4th gear.

    RealOEM.com link for my car : (a 6/87 325 4 door)

    it shows
    STRAIGHT SELECTOR ROD 106/1986
    25111221054 $38.38
but the accompanying graphic is like B
Bavauto calls this a 7-SELECTOR ROD instead of a straight selector rod, and I cant find this part on other retailers like autohausAZ does anyone know the correct part numbers for A - AND- B? I want to make sure I get A for my car since It has a rubber guibo and I believe B wont fit with that because of that bent leg on the end of part B ...

Also while Im replacing it what other parts should I replace? the shifter was pretty tight before this but turned into mashed potatoes before it broke off as you see below...

If your car has the sheetmetal console I believe the PN is:

    06 STRAIGHT SELECTOR ROD 1 06/1986 25111220565 $31.95

But, I would think a 6/87 would have the aluminum carrier, in which case the part number you have above is correct. Either way you have to figure out which carrier you have and go from there.

To recondition the shifter I'd get the shift lever cup, the shift carrier bushing, "bitch clip" that holds the carrier to the transmission, the selector rod joint, selector rod joint pin, selector rod joint bushing insert thingy (listed as "felt" above), new o-rings/spacers and new clips. One thing of note, the RealOEM diagrams are sometimes shared between multiple vehicles, and what the graphic looks like is not always the same as reality.
