What type of batteries do i need. can i use AA rechargable ones or does it have to be specific bmw batteries

The SI board will have either NiCads or Lithium batteries. Just match the type in the board. But before replacing the batteries check to see if the batteries have leaked (there'll be corrosion on the board). If the batteries have leaked the board is probably dead.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
