    Steering column slop

Trying to bring my front end back to life. Have replaced lower control arms, struts and top bearings, one tie rod end, and the links look good. Things are much better thus far. Still have something going on in the steering system. If you grab the spindle where it comes through the fire wall there is a huge amount of movement in all directions. Is there a support or bushing that is shot and if so can you tell me what components need to be replaced. Ideally the part names or numbers would be very helpful.

There is abearing at the top and bottom of the column. See http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...47&hg=32&fg=30
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
