    Beater Pizza e30

I just bought my first car and it is an '91 318i. I'm new to car mechanics but learning fast.
My car has been very neglected over the years and was sitting for 6 months before I bought it.
I need it for a pizza delivery job and have noticed that it doesn't get the best gas mileage.

Right now it has a broken radiator fan switch for which I have a low temperature replacement in the mail.

What other common sensors, parts should I look into that may have gone bad and can contribute to poor mpg?

    Thanks

    Do a tuneup.
Coolant system, timing belt (wait, it's a 91, so probably has a timing chain, huh?), plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter. That should be a good start.
