i just recently flushed and replaced the tranny fluid due to a leaky oil seal, and so the fluid level is ok. what are the usual symptoms for a bad torque converter?

it will silp a lot kinda like a slipping clutch i was just thinking that may be the problem cause you had low fluid but that doesn't sound like it if its the problem. it sounds like maybe you have something clogged. i dont know terribly much about tranny's but i know a little and it sounds like a clutch is siezed or somthing and its not dissiengaging when you slow down. what did the old fluid look like? whas it burnt? what color was it. it should be a cherry red and shouldn't smell burnt if so then you'v burnt somthing in your tranny. a clutch or somthing like that. best bet is to take it to a shop and get them to check it out, go to a reliable one cause some places will just screw you cause its soo easy with transmissions. it might be somthing small, lets hope for that.
