1988 325e three 'chimes' interior sound

Hello, I have a 88 325e manual, and the past few days I have been driving around town and heard a 'ding...ding...ding" sound. No lights came on that I could see, and I don't know what is causing it. It kind of sounds like the chime that a lot of cars make if you turn them off but the headlights are still on. any idea what it is?

look at your OBC when this happens. it should be showing your temperature. it's to let you know to watch for ice on the roads

Thanks for the suggestions....I did check the obc temp reading and it's always between 75 and 90 degrees...it's like summer here. So something may be out of whack. If it's to warn me about ice, it will be 'dinging' all winter long...lol.
Thanks again and all other suggestions welcome!

I will check that when I get out, but I think I did see the memo light on the obc. What does that do? I don't have an owners manual and am not sure what the memo function is for. thanks again!

If that's the door chime, just open the panel under the steering wheel and unplug the harness that goes to it. You should be able to do this in 2 mins.... good luck.
