A couple of Problems with E30

Just recently I've encountered a couple of problems on my e30. This sucks A LOT because I'm just starting to get the car ready to auto-x, and it looks like a lot of my funds are going to be diverted into fixing EVEN MORE problems.

Now, lets get the the issues.

First, of all, as I start the car up and begin to turn the front of the car makes a sound (like friction) and the steering wheel vibrates. I'm not quite sure what to make of this, but I assume it might be a proglem with the steering rack? One of the odd things, is that it goes away after a time after the car has been running.

Another even more distressing occurrence, is that all of a sudden, all of the lights on the right side of the car are out, with the exception of the right high beam, and the right front turn signal. The low beam and fog light are out, as well as the brake light and turn signal in the rear. It does seem, however like the brake light and turn signal in the rear work sporadically. My computer doesn't give me a check light until the car has been running for a couple of minutes and I've been driving.

If any of you guys have any ideas I'd really appreciate it. I'm at a loss right now.

firts of all the steering is your power steering fluid is low and the pump is making that noise cause it doesn't have enough fluid. its the little round brown thing that says ATF on it, your supposed to put ATF oil in not power steering fluid. second. the lights check all your fuses, and the bulbs to see if they are burnt out. and check your blinker bulbs and brake light bulbs too. if they are fine it also could be the relays, or the switch. the relay is in the fuse box, and i believe that is it the second one forwards from the fire wall, on the left side? somone correct me if im wrong, it will be an odd looking one from the rest. anyways good luck testing.
