    325is VS. 325es

So I'm searching for my first E30, after being tired of driving a Honda, and I have an important question. Sorry if it has been asked before, but I searched and didn't find much.

What are the differences between 1987 325es's and 1987 325is's other than the eta having the less powerful motor?

I've heard that the 325is motor is pretty cheap, so I'm looking at purchasing a 1987 325es and swapping in a different motor, because the car is black on black leather, and it is local.
    • They both have the mean front valence
    • They both have leather sport interior
    • They both have the 9-button OBC
    • Any other differences?

the is has a better suspension settup i believe. ut if your going to redo the suspension too then that doesn't really matter.
