Heads cracked

ell i just get woken up today a few minutes ago by my mechanic calling me to tell me that he got a call from a machine shop and they said my head is cracked. GREAT :? !!! So now, he wants to take the head from my bros 88 325is that has 220k and been sitting in my brothers car for 2 years collecting dust. The head was rebuilt at 200k. My question is, whats the chances of this head cracking like mine did. I mean my car was sitting for 3 years and it cracked. Also my car has only 100k on it. Should i just look for a used head with less miles on it? If i do that i wont be able to trust the past history of it!! But i do know the history of my bros head. I have no idea, im just extremely pissed. :x

You could just get your brother's head thoroughly checked out. Pressure tested, etc. I'm sure that if it tests fine, then you shouldn't have any immediate issues. But I don't think there can be any guarantees of the life of a head.

if its not cracked now it wont crack unless you abuse it. usualy over heating will cause the cracked head. so if your bros head is fine then it will be fine.
